UX/UI Design Intern

Are you ready to kick-start your career in a fast-paced organisation where you’ll have the opportunity to explore UX/UI design in an international context? Do you want to apply your theoretical knowledge of user research and design to real-world scenarios? Then you’ve come to the right place!

This is an internship for the Fall semester of 2025.

At Whiteaway Group, we started with a simple idea, a strong commitment to our customers, and a passion for digital innovation. Today, we are a successful retailer, selling and delivering household appliances across Scandinavia. We’re change-makers at heart – it’s the very core of everything we do.

We are looking for a UX/UI Design Intern who is eager to learn and ready to apply their skill set. You’ll be part of an ambitious digital product team consisting of UX/UI design specialists, data scientists, engineers, and product managers. When starting, we take great pride in making sure that you’ll have a fun and learning experience. How? You’ll be coupled with a mentor that’ll be your sparring partner throughout your internship to help you settle in and develop your skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and refine user interfaces that enhance user experience, ensuring consistency, clarity, and visual appeal.
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to bring concepts to life.
  • Contribute to concept development, sketch ideas, and visualize design solutions through Service Blueprints and UI components.
  • Define and specify interface design, including typography, color schemes, and interaction patterns.
  • Conduct light user research and usability testing to validate and refine design decisions.

We imagine that you are:

  • Are currently enrolled in a relevant study program.
  • Have a strong understanding of UI design principles and best practices.
  • Have a solid understanding of design systems and how to maintain consistency across products.
  • Are proficient in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Have a structured approach, strong critical thinking skills, and enjoy working on dynamic tasks.
  • Are a team player ready to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Speak and write fluent English.

We like to think that we offer quite an amazing internship, including:

  • Student network with coffee talks and social gatherings.
  • Teambuilding and professional events that foster both personal and professional growth.
  • Support that offers daily guidance on tasks, projects, and anything you’d like – ensuring a steep learning curve.
  • You have the chance of influencing your own work-life, so it suits your needs.
  • A caring and social atmosphere with great colleagues and social events. We’ll make sure you feel welcome from day one!

At Whiteaway Group, we are passionate about shaping the future of our industry. That’s why we believe in the power of internships. Join us in making an impact—apply for your next professional adventure today!

Whiteaway Group is an ambitious and successful E-commerce and retail business in rapid growth. Through a number of online shops and the franchise chains Skousen and Tretti we sell white goods and premium products for the home – to customers in all of Scandinavia. The idea for Whiteaway Group arose in the backroom of a Danish kitchen store. The foundation was innovation, business acumen and excellent customer experience. And it still is. Many years later we are the leading supplier in Scandinavia in our field and we are almost 300 dedicated employees working from offices in Aarhus and Stockholm.
