Visual & Motion Designer
Can you turn footage, graphics and ideas into engaging motion content, with a sharp eye for design? Join our creative team and help bring three Nordic retail brands to life.
At Whiteaway Group, we are continuing our growth journey across the Nordics, with Group Marketing playing a pivotal role. We create content and campaigns that bring customers to our online and physical stores while building our three strategic brands: Skousen, Whiteaway and Tretti.
You will join the creative design team in Group Marketing, working closely with fellow creatives, marketing specialists and media specialists to turn campaign objectives into effective visual communication.
The job
Your main focus will be motion design, animation and video editing. You understand how movement, pacing, sound and composition work together to tell a story, capture attention and make a message clear.
You will develop content from scratch and edit, adapt and repurpose existing material across channels and formats. A strong foundation in graphic design will help you create work that feels considered, consistent and true to each brand, both in motion and in still visuals.
More specifically, your tasks will be to:
- Create motion graphics and animations that bring campaign concepts, messages and brand identities to life.
- Edit video with a clear sense of narrative, rhythm and continuity, combining footage, graphics, music and sound.
- Develop content for social media, digital advertising, TV and internal communication, adapting the storytelling to each channel.
- Apply a strong eye for typography, layout, colour and composition across motion content and supporting static assets.
- Collaborate with creative, marketing and media colleagues to deliver content that meets campaign objectives and follows brand guidelines.
- Share ideas and feedback, and explore techniques and tools that improve both the work and the way we produce it.
Your profile
- You have around three years of relevant experience in motion design and video editing, with a portfolio that demonstrates your craft and creative thinking.
- You have a background in motion design, animation, graphic design or a related field.
- You are confident in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, and comfortable working with Illustrator and Photoshop.
- You understand animation principles and use timing, easing and transitions purposefully.
- You have a strong sense of visual storytelling and know how editing, pacing and sound shape the viewer’s experience.
- You have a trained graphic eye and can translate a visual identity into motion while keeping the brand recognisable.
- You enjoy creating new work as well as finding effective ways to adapt existing content.
- You work in a structured way, meet deadlines and contribute openly to collaboration and creative feedback.
We offer an amazing workplace, including:
- A dynamic, ambitious organisation.
- An informal environment with short decision-making processes.
- A culture of trust that gives you room to plan your day and balance your life.
- Flexibility in how and when you work, healthcare, a lunch scheme, a gym and an active staff association, to mention just a few.
